Decent deal for a first-timer

I was looking for something new and saw Hiyo. Decided to try the 12-pack of watermelon lime seltzer. I used a 10% off code for my first order, which made the price pretty reasonable. I also got free shipping, which was a big plus since I hate paying for shipping. The total came out to just under $40. It took about a week to get to me, which was a little longer than I hoped, but not terrible. The drink itself was refreshing, and I felt a slight chill vibe after one. For the price I paid, it felt like a good value to try it out.

Pretty good, but slow delivery

I decided to try Hiyo after hearing about adaptogen drinks. I ordered the strawberry guava seltzer, a 12-pack. The flavor was actually really pleasant, not too sweet, and it did give a mild, calm feeling, which was what I was hoping for. The packaging was good, everything arrived intact. However, it took 8 days to get to me in California, which felt a bit slow compared to other online orders I've placed. Customer service was responsive when I asked about the tracking though. Overall, a solid product, just wish shipping was a touch faster.

Good social tonic

I ordered a 12-pack of the blackberry lemon seltzer last week. It arrived in about 4 days, which was pretty quick. Tasted good, gave me a nice relaxed feeling without any alcohol. I liked it for unwinding after work.

My go-to drink

This was my third time ordering from Hiyo, and they're always consistent. I went with the variety pack again because I like having options. Shipping was free this time since I got two cases, which is a nice perk. It got here in 5 days, same as my last order. The peach mango is still my favorite, but the new strawberry guava is pretty good too. I keep coming back because it's a reliable alternative to alcohol, and the effect is subtle but noticeable.

how long does it typically take for an order to arrive in, like, Chicago? thinking about getting some for a party next weekend.

B Brittany Lewis 3 weeks ago
Mine usually get to me in about 4-5 business days. I'm in Michigan so pretty close to Chicago I guess. Might be cutting it close for next weekend though, depends when you order.

i've had stuff show up in 3 days before, but also 6. depends on the courier sometimes. if it's super urgent, i'd probably just check if any local stores carry it.

hey, was wondering if the 15% off first order deal works on the subscription boxes? trying to save some cash but also want to keep it coming.

D Daniel Taylor 1 week ago
Nah, pretty sure it doesn't. They usually say those first-time codes don't apply to subs because subscriptions already have their own discount built in.

W William Lopez 4 days ago
Yeah, I tried to stack a code on a sub once and it wouldn't let me. The subscription price is already lower than buying one-offs, so that's the discount.

Is there really a big difference between Hiyo and something like Kin Euphorics or Recess? They all seem kinda similar.

B Brittany Torres 3 weeks ago
I've tried both and Hiyo feels a bit cleaner to me, less sugary than Kin. The effects are also a bit more consistent for me with Hiyo.

They're all in the same category but the ingredients vary a lot. Hiyo uses specific adaptogens like ashwagandha and L-theanine. Recess focuses more on CBD. It's worth looking at the ingredient lists to see what fits you best.

do they do any military or student discounts? i'm a vet and always look for those kinds of deals.

E Elizabeth T. 1 week ago
I haven't seen anything specifically for military or students on their site. Most of their discounts are around first orders or subscriptions.

K Katie Mitchell 1 week ago
Nah, I don't think so. I've only ever seen the standard 10-15% off codes and the subscription savings. No special groups mentioned anywhere.

what's the deal with returns if I buy a 12-pack and don't like the flavor? do they let you send it back?

S Steven K. 1 week ago
Returns for open products are tricky with most food/drink stuff. afaik, if it's just a taste thing, they usually don't take it back unless there was a defect or something.

R Rachel Mitchell 1 week ago
yeah returns were easy if my order was messed up or something, but for not liking a flavor, you might be out of luck once it's shipped.
